Hello Athena parents and students.  My name is Meagan Wagner-Westermayer and I am excited to be back home! As a 2002 graduate of DeSoto High School and Athena Elementary alumni, I couldn’t be more proud to begin my administration career in the district I grew up in.

With seventeen years of classroom experience teaching 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade, I am committed to meeting the needs of all learners. 

As a lifelong learner myself, I hope to be a positive role model to encourage students and teachers to never stop learning.

Personally, my husband Greg and I have three girls ages 12, 10 and 8. We stay busy attending their many activities and enjoy relaxing when we get downtime.

I believe it takes a village to nurture and support each and every student we encounter. I am honored to begin serving the students, staff, and community this year and look forward to partnering together to ensure success for all students!
